Michigan Study Shows Cherries Provide Heart Benefits

A recent study from the University of Michigan reveals new evidence linking cherries to heart health benefits. The study found that a cherry-enriched diet lowered total weight, body fat (especially the important “belly” fat) Cherries may also support DNA and telomere health as well as provide anti-aging benefits.

Nutritionists suggest that people consume 3,000 to 5,000 ORAC units a day to have an impact on their health. Just one ounce of cherry juice concentrate supplies 3,622 ORAC units, about an entire day’s recommendation.
